Dr Julie Nicol is the CAIGE Coordinator at the University of Sydney's School of Life and Environmental Sciences. She leads the International Cereal Germplasm Improvement Program (CAIGE), focusing on wheat, durum wheat, and barley improvement under the direction of Prof Richard Trethowan. Nicol holds a B.Ag.Sc (1st Class Honours) and PhD from the University of Adelaide's Waite Campus, specializing in cereal pathology and breeding.
