Julie La Barba

Julie La Barba, MD, FAAP, DipABLM is a Board Certified pediatrician and part-time Assistant Professor in the Developing Osteopathic Clinical Skills Division at the University of Incarnate Word School of Osteopathic Medicine. She also serves as an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Baylor College of Medicine and The University of Texas Long School of Medicine.

• Education: B.S. in Human & Organizational Development from Vanderbilt University, Medical Degree from UT Health San Antonio, Pediatric Residency (2006) at University Hospital and The Children’s Hospital of San Antonio.

Dr. La Barba specializes in childhood nutrition and public health advocacy, particularly for underserved populations. Her work bridges clinical practice with accessible health education, exemplified by her role as Founding Medical Director of the CHEF (Culinary Health Education for Families) program at Christus Children’s Hospital and her leadership in the H-E-B Body Adventure Exhibit at the Witte Museum.
