Julia Moriarty

Julia Moriarty serves as an adjunct professor at Wayne State University and is a doctoral candidate (ABD). She co-founded and co-edits Etudes: An online performance studies journal for emerging scholars and serves as Graduate Student Liaison for the Mid-American Theatre Conference board.

Moriarty's research critically engages feminist theory through examinations of motherhood and non-motherhood performance on stage. Professionally active as both actor and director, she has performed at Detroit's The Ringwald and Jewish Ensemble Theatre, toured nationally, and contributes as a cast member of the radio sketch-comedy group Right Between the Ears.
