Dr. Julia Metz is a former Research Fellow (2011-2013) and Visiting Researcher at the WZB Berlin Social Science Center's Research Department Global Governance. She holds a Doctorate in Political Science from the Free University of Berlin (2012), with a dissertation titled 'The European Commission’s Expert Groups and their Use in Policy Making'. Her work focuses on comparative public policy, triangulation of qualitative/quantitative methods, and EU Commission studies.
Her research explores mechanisms of interest group influence, agenda-setting dynamics, and institutional coordination within the European Commission.
