Julia Binder

Julia Binder is an acting Professor of Urban Studies at BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg, leading the third-party funded project "Digital Pioneers in Rural Regional Development" (2020-2023), supported by the German Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture (BMEL). She holds a PhD in Urban and Regional Sociology from Humboldt University of Berlin and conducted postgraduate research at King's College London's Cities Group. Her work focuses on urban-rural relations, regional development in peripheral areas, digitalization, and cultural heritage.
