Judy Brook

Dr Judy Brook is the Head of the School of Nursing and Public Health and Faculty Director of Education at Manchester Metropolitan University. She oversees strategic initiatives in teaching, learning, and student employability, drawing on 16+ years of experience in clinical education and NHS leadership roles.

Research Focus: Her work centers on health workforce development, including interventions to improve student-to-practitioner transitions, flexible placement systems, and integration of nursing associates into healthcare teams. She emphasizes prevention, collaboration, and student-centered pedagogical approaches.

Education & Background: Holds a PhD in pedagogical research, an MSc, and a PGCE. Her career began in the NHS, where she led education strategy as Head of Education, later transitioning to academia.
