Judith Langdon

Judith Langdon is a Senior Lecturer and Course Leader for the BSc (Hons) Sport Development with Coaching at the School of Sport and Physical Activity, Sheffield Hallam University. She has been in academia since 2014, with prior industry experience in Local Authorities, National Governing Bodies of Sport, and School Sport Partnerships. Her expertise spans community sport, event management, club development, enterprise, and professional skills training.

Langdon holds an MSc in Coaching and Mentoring from Sheffield Hallam Business School. She actively contributes to student employability, leading initiatives such as placement opportunities and voluntary experiences. Her professional accolades include being a Senior Fellow of Advance HE and a Recognised Senior Advisor for the UK Advising & Tutoring Association.

Her teaching focuses on modules like Professional Practice, Project Management, and Sport Club Development. She has led projects such as SHU Gamechangers and Student Voice, emphasizing collaboration between academia and industry partners. Her research interests include student feedback mechanisms and the integration of practical experience into curricula.
