Joshua R. Mauney

Dr. Joshua R. Mauney is a tenured Associate Professor with dual appointments in the Department of Urology and Department of Biomedical Engineering at the University of California, Irvine. He holds the prestigious Jerry D. Choate Presidential Endowed Chair in Urology Tissue Engineering, highlighting his significant contributions to the field. Prior to joining UCI, Dr. Mauney led a translational research group for 12 years as faculty at Harvard Medical School and Boston Children's Hospital.

Dr. Mauney received his B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering and Ph.D. in Biotechnology Engineering from Tufts University, followed by postdoctoral training in Biomedical Engineering at the same institution.
