Joshua Long is a Professor of Environmental Studies at Southwestern University. His research focuses on climate justice, environmental policy, urban studies, and sustainability discourses. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Kansas and has received awards including the AASHE International Research Award (2020) and the Helen Ruth Aspaas SAGE Innovator (2019). His work critiques climate apartheid, colonialism, and the intersections of urban development with global inequality.
Key publications include Urban Climate Justice: Theory, Praxis, and Resistance (2023) and Weird City: Sense of Place and Creative Resistance in Austin (2010).
