Joseph Voros

Adjunct Professor Joseph Voros is affiliated with Swinburne University of Technology as an Adjunct Professor and has served as a visiting fellow at the Australian Defence College. With over 25 years as a professional futurist, he combines expertise in futures studies with a PhD in theoretical physics.

• Education: PhD in Theoretical Physics (focus on mathematical extensions to Einstein's General Theory of Relativity).

His research interests span Futures and Strategic Foresight, integrating systems thinking, scenario planning, and long-term societal transformation. He previously managed foresight activities in academic and corporate settings, including a role at Netscape Communications Corporation in Silicon Valley during the 1990s.

Current roles include independent futures researcher, educator, and consultant since 2020, while continuing to supervise PhD students through Swinburne University.
