Luke van der Laan

Professor Luke van der Laan is an Adjunct Professor at the School of Humanities and Communication, University of Southern Queensland. He holds a PhD from USQ and degrees from Stellenbosch University. His research focuses on foresight, strategic thinking, futures research, leadership, and education systems. He is affiliated with the Australian Centre for Sustainable Business and Development (ACSBD).

Professional memberships include the Association of Professional Futurists (APF USA) and World Futures Studies Federation (WFSF). With 10+ years of tertiary teaching experience, he currently serves as Programme Director for Professional Studies. His supervision expertise spans specialist education studies, business management, leadership theory, and curriculum development.
