Joseph Bird is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Biology of Disease at Anglia Ruskin University (ARU), affiliated with the Medical Technology Research Centre within the Faculty of Science and Engineering. He holds a PhD from the Strangeways Research Laboratory in Cambridge, focusing on connective tissue extracellular matrix turnover. His academic career spans institutions including the University of Cambridge, University of Brighton, and University of Bradford, with expertise in cell biology, biochemistry, and biological imaging.
