Miss Josefa Henriquez is an Associate Lecturer at the Newcastle Business School, University of Newcastle, within the College of Human and Social Futures. She holds dual bachelor’s degrees in Business Engineering and Economics from Universidad de Chile. Her research focuses on applying economics to healthcare challenges, emphasizing complex data analytics, equity, and efficiency in healthcare systems.
Professionally, she has held roles at top think tanks like Centro de Estudios Públicos (Chile) and contributed to health insurance reforms as an economic advisor to Chile’s Ministry of Health. Internationally, she served as a research fellow at the University of Bologna (Italy) and led projects for Australia’s Department of Health and Aged Care, collaborating with prominent scholars like Prof. McGuire (Harvard) and Prof. Paolucci (UoN).
