Jorge Porcel

Dr. Jorge Porcel is an Associate Professor in the Department of Arts, Languages, and Philosophy at Missouri University of Science and Technology (Missouri S&T). He also serves as a Faculty Researcher at the Center for Science, Technology, and Society (CSTS) at Missouri S&T. His primary disciplines are Spanish and Portuguese Language and Literature, with research interests focusing on foreign language education, sociolinguistic dynamics, and language maintenance among Latino communities. His work examines language attitudes in engineering and STEM contexts, diaspora communities, and theoretical aspects of Spanish grammar.
