Jorge JACOB is an Assistant Professor of Marketing and Sales at IÉSEG School of Management (France) since 2021. He holds a Ph.D. in Business Administration (Marketing) from Getulio Vargas Foundation (FGV) in Brazil and has a visiting research experience at Columbia University (USA, 2018).
- Education: Ph.D. (2018), MSc (2015), MBA (2007) in Marketing from FGV; Bachelor in Communication (2005) from Federal University of Rio de Janeiro.
His research focuses on consumer behavior, diversity and inclusion in organizations, and leadership dynamics. Recent work explores:
- Authentic/ethical leadership effects on stereotype threat (2024)
- Social capital’s role in financial inclusion (2023)
- Energy subsidy communication strategies (2023)
- Discrimination mechanisms among low-income consumers (2022)
He received two IBEA Honored Teacher Awards (2019, 2020) and teaches Market Research at the Bachelor level and Research & Consulting Tools in the MSc in Digital Marketing and CRM.
