Jorg Franke

Jorg Franke is Senior Lecturer in the Department of Economics at the University of Bath. His research applies game theory and experimental methods to contest design, auction mechanisms, and public goods provision. Previously an assistant professor at TU Dortmund, Franke holds a PhD from Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona.

Franke's theoretical and experimental work examines incentive structures in economic contests, optimal favoritism in auctions, and efficient public good funding mechanisms. Recent studies analyze strategic reciprocity in high-stakes competitions.

He serves as Associate Editor for the Journal of Mathematical Economics and accepts doctoral students in applied microeconomics and experimental design.
