Jonathan Steffens

Jonathan Steffens is an Assistant Professor in the School of Mechanical and Materials Engineering at Washington State University (WSU). His research focuses on computational fluid mechanics and environmental pollutant dispersion modeling, particularly from transportation-related sources such as roadways, rail yards, and seaports.

Dr. Steffens' work includes Gaussian plume dispersion modeling and applied research in atmospheric sciences. He previously held a Visiting Assistant Professor position at Lafayette College (2017-2022) and conducted postdoctoral research with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency via the Oak Ridge Institute of Science and Education.
