Jonathan P. Case is a Professor of Theology at Houghton University, where he has taught since 2005. His courses include Christian theology, world religions, new religious movements, and contemporary cultural analysis through theological lenses. Prior to Houghton, he lectured at Kingsley College in Melbourne, Australia, under Global Partners (Wesleyan World Missions), and taught intensives in Papua New Guinea, New Zealand, and Russia. He also served at Augsburg College (Minneapolis) and as a research associate at Church Innovations Institute, St. Paul, MN.
Dr. Case earned his Ph.D. from Luther Seminary (1995), M.Div. from Nazarene Theological Seminary (1989), and B.A./M.A. from Southern Nazarene University (1983, 1986). He is an active scholar with publications in Crucible, Word and World, Dialog, Journal of Christian Theological Research, and Aldersgate Papers, and frequently presents at national academic conferences.
