Jonathan LIM is a Visiting Senior Fellow affiliated with the National University of Singapore (NUS). He is a triple-qualified lawyer (England, Singapore, New York) and a Partner in WilmerHale’s International Arbitration Practice Group. His expertise spans commercial and investment treaty arbitrations across global jurisdictions, including England, Singapore, and Hong Kong. He has represented clients in high-stakes disputes involving sectors like energy, finance, and technology, with notable cases exceeding US$4.5 billion in value.
Mr. Lim advises governments and international organizations on public international law, including drafting legislation for countries in the South Pacific and assisting with WTO accession. He has contributed to landmark arbitration rule revisions, such as the AFSA International Arbitration Rules and SIAC Rules. He holds roles in organizations like the Asia-Pacific Forum for International Arbitration and the ICC Singapore Regional Projects Sub-Committee.
His research focuses on international arbitration trends, dispute resolution mechanisms, and legal frameworks. He lectures at institutions like King’s College London and publishes extensively on arbitration and financial regulation.
