Hussein Haeri is a Senior Fellow at the College of Law, SOAS University of London, and a partner/co-head of the International Arbitration Group at Withers LLP. He is also a Solicitor-Advocate of the Senior Courts of England and Wales with over 15 years of expertise in international legal and dispute resolution matters across London, Paris, New York, and South Africa.
His research and practice focus on international arbitration and public international law, including international investment law, constitutional and human rights matters, sovereign immunity, sanctions, energy and natural resources, international humanitarian law, the law of the sea, and treaty/legislation drafting. He has served as counsel, advocate, and arbitrator in cases under ICSID, UNCITRAL, ICC, LCIA, SIAC, SCC, and MARC Rules.
