Jonathan Knowles

Jonathan Knowles is a Professor in the Department of Architecture at the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD), where he has taught since 2001. He leads studios and technology seminars focused on performative architecture—designs that reduce energy consumption through form and technical composition. His expertise is also shared at institutions like City College of New York, Parsons, Cornell, and Columbia University.
