About
Professor Jonas H Rademacker is a Professor of Physics at the School of Physics, University of Bristol. Holding an M.Sc. from Southampton and Ph.D. from Oxford, he leads research in particle physics with focus on CP violation and quark flavour physics.
His research spans:
- Precision studies of matter-antimatter asymmetry (CP violation)
- Quark transformation dynamics and Standard Model testing
- LHCb experiment data analysis at CERN
- Amplitude analysis methodology development
- Measurements of CP-violation parameter gamma
Professor Rademacker's recent work demonstrates expertise in B meson decays, photon polarization studies, and long-lived particle detection techniques. His research leverages LHCb capabilities to probe beyond the Standard Model, particularly examining quantum loops sensitive to undiscovered heavy particles.
Professional recognition:
- Principal Investigator for LHCb Upgrade II Preconstruction (2024-2026)
- Recipient of ERC research grant
- Science and Technologies Facilities Council member (2016-2019)
- Active participant in international particle physics collaborations
As leader of Bristol's flavour physics group, he supervises graduate researchers and collaborates extensively with the LHCb Collaboration. His current projects focus on precision measurements of CP violation in charm quarks and advancing detector capabilities through the LHCb upgrade program.
