Jon Boshart, Ph.D., is a Chair and Professor of Fine Arts at Saint Peter’s University. He holds degrees from Johns Hopkins University (Ph.D. and M.A.) and Universita’ Gregoriana in Rome (STL) and has taught Art History and Italian literature. As director of the Metropolitan Seminar courses, he leads experiential learning programs in New York City museums and facilitates international study tours across 13+ countries, including China, Peru, Italy, and Greece.
His research focuses on spirituality expressed through art, spanning Renaissance, Medieval, and Baroque periods, alongside cultural diversity in global artistic traditions. He has taught courses such as Art and Buddhism, Cultural Diversity in Art, and Renaissance Art I & II.
