John S. Wiebe is Professor of Psychology and Provost at the University of Texas at El Paso, leading research on psychological adaptation to chronic medical conditions. His work develops culturally responsive interventions for Spanish-speaking populations managing HIV/AIDS and other chronic illnesses.

- Cognitive-behavioral interventions for comorbid depression
- Cross-cultural psychometric validation
