Dr. Eden Robles is a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology at The University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP), part of the College of Liberal Arts. She specializes in minority substance use and mental health disparities, emphasizing cultural and socioeconomic influences on health behaviors. Her work focuses on developing and evaluating interventions tailored for bilingual-bicultural environments. Dr. Robles also serves as Director of the Mental Health and Emotional Well-being Backbone Organization under the Paso del Norte Health Foundation Initiative.
Her research spans Latino adolescent substance use interventions, cancer risk mitigation in Mexican American communities, and acculturative stress among Hispanic immigrants. Courses taught include Health Psychology, Introduction to Psychology, and Substance Abuse in the Department of Social Work, alongside a research foundations course in the College of Science.
