John S. Allen is the Herschel G. Langdon Clinical Professor of Law at the University of Iowa College of Law, where he has served since 1990. He specializes in clinical legal education, employment law, poverty law, and trial advocacy. His work involves representing clients in civil matters such as employment discrimination, wrongful discharge, and unemployment insurance cases through student-led clinics. He supervises the trial advocacy program and directs the Poverty Law Internship Program.
