John Rumel is a Visiting Professor at the University of San Francisco School of Law. He previously served as a full-time Professor and Associate Professor at the University of Idaho College of Law, alongside adjunct roles at Gonzaga University and Santa Clara University. Prior to academia, he worked as General Counsel for the Idaho Education Association (1996–2001). His legal education includes a JD from UC Hastings College of the Law (1981) and a BA in History and Politics from UC Santa Cruz (1977).
