John P. Wilson

John P. Wilson is a Professor of Spatial Sciences and Sociology at the University of Southern California, serving as founding director of the Spatial Sciences Institute. He holds adjunct appointments in the School of Architecture, Keck School of Medicine's Department of Population and Public Health Sciences, and Viterbi School of Engineering's Departments of Computer Science and Civil & Environmental Engineering.

His research integrates spatial sciences with sociological analysis, focusing on urban health patterns, syndemics, food insecurity, and geospatial infrastructure. Recent work examines ecological risk factors during the COVID-19 pandemic and portable environmental monitoring systems.
