John P. Jackson Jr.

John P. Jackson Jr. is an Adjunct Professor at Michigan State University's Department of History and Philosophy of Science. His research focuses on the scientific study of race, Darwinism, and intersections of science with democracy and ethics. He co-authored the book Darwinism, Democracy and Race with David Depew, examining how evolutionary ideas influence societal concepts of race and governance.

Teaching primarily in the STEPPS specialization area, Jackson's work bridges historical analysis with contemporary debates on race and scientific inquiry. His office is located in S356 Case Hall, and he can be reached at jack1504@msu.edu.
