John P Lydon

John P Lydon is Associate Professor in Molecular and Cellular Biology at Baylor College of Medicine, with additional membership in the Dan L Duncan Comprehensive Cancer Center. His laboratory investigates steroid receptor signaling in reproductive tissues and exocrine glands, focusing on progesterone's roles in uterine receptivity, mammary gland development, and salivary gland tumorigenesis.

Research utilizes genetically engineered mouse models, genome-wide analytics, and clinical collaborations to translate findings to human health contexts. Current projects examine molecular mechanisms initiating salivary gland malignancies and progesterone receptor isoforms in tissue development.
