John Kregel

John Kregel is Professor of Counseling and Special Education at Virginia Commonwealth University's School of Education, with over 30 years of research on disability employment and financial independence. As associate director of VCU's Rehabilitation Research and Training Center, he has led $50M+ funded projects. Research focuses on supported employment models, disability benefits systems, and veteran support programs.

Significant policy contributions include Congressional testimony on Social Security beneficiary employment and technical assistance to federal agencies. Awards include the VCU Ruch Award for Excellence in Teaching.
