John K. Kalubi is Associate Teaching Professor in Africana Studies at University of Cincinnati. He holds a Magistere in French and Francophone cultures/literatures from University of Paris-Sorbonne, and M.A./Ph.D. degrees from University of Cincinnati.
His teaching and research focus on post-colonial African intellectual ideas and African Diaspora contemporary literary perspectives. He received the Provost's Technology Institute Award (2005) and has presented on topics including Afro-pessimism, resistance literature, and genocide studies.
Notable presentations include analyses of genocide in Darfur/Rwanda, African Renaissance concepts, and Francophone literary resistance. His pedagogical approach integrates post-colonial theory with African diaspora cultural studies.
