John Bequette

John Bequette is Professor of Theology at the University of Saint Francis, holding a Ph.D. in historical theology from Saint Louis University. Specializing in pre-scholastic medieval theology, his research examines Bede the Venerable, Christian humanism, and early monastic traditions.

His publications include monographs on Bede's theological works and edited volumes on medieval Christian humanism. Research explores:

• Rhetorical strategies in medieval hagiography
• Theological dimensions of Christian friendship
• Intellectual traditions of early medieval England

As a convert to Catholicism, he maintains research interests in Christian-Jewish relations and spirituality. He regularly presents at international medieval studies conferences.
