John Beltrame

Professor John Beltrame holds the Michell Chair and leads the Discipline of Medicine at the University of Adelaide. As Director of Research for Central Adelaide Local Health Network, he practices as Senior Consultant Cardiologist across three hospitals. His pioneering research focuses on coronary vasomotor disorders including coronary spasm and microvascular dysfunction, particularly in women.

He developed the CADOSA Registry to evaluate cardiac treatment outcomes through patient-reported measures. Research grants exceed $30 million from NHMRC and international partnerships. Supervision includes doctoral candidates in coronary angiography analytics and MINOCA pathophysiology.
