Johan Normark

Johan Normark is Associate Professor and Consultant Physician at Umeå University, researching host immunological responses to infections and vaccination. His work combines metabolomics and immunology to study COVID-19 pathogenesis, long-term effects, and vaccine responses.

Leads the CoVUm national cohort study investigating COVID-19 progression. Research identifies biomarkers for disease severity and mechanisms of post-COVID complications.
