Joey Kim

Dr. Joey Kim serves as Chair of the Department of Engineering & Computer Science and Assistant Professor of Biological Science at The Master’s University (TMU). He holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Caltech, with research experience at Berkeley Lab, Oak Ridge National Laboratory, and NIST.

Dr. Kim specializes in materials science, nanotechnology, and the intersection of scientific principles with theological frameworks. His work includes applications in DNA origami for drug delivery, electrodynamics, and relativity. His research emphasizes the integration of faith with STEM disciplines, particularly through the lens of general revelation in science.

He has contributed to the development of TMU’s WSCUC-pending engineering programs and serves as a mentor to STEM students. His teaching extends beyond technical skills to encouraging students to view science as a mission field for glorifying God.
