Joe Johnson

Joe Johnson is a Professor in the Art Media Photography department at the University of Missouri. He holds a BFA and MFA in Photography from the San Francisco Art Institute (2001) and Massachusetts College of Art (2004), respectively. His work has gained international recognition through publications in Art in America, The New York Times, and YVI Magazine, alongside exhibitions at institutions like the Cleveland Art Museum and MassMoCA.

Notable achievements include being a runner-up for the 2008 Aperture Portfolio Prize and receiving an Ohio Arts Council grant. He has lectured at Carnegie Mellon University, Rhode Island College, and the DeCordova Museum.
