Joe Cutler is a Professor in Composition and Head of Composition at Royal Birmingham Conservatoire since 2005. His work bridges contemporary classical, jazz, and interdisciplinary performance, emphasizing genre fluidity. Collaborations include visual artists Tom Dale and Jaap Drupsteen, as well as ensembles like Orkest de Ereprijs and the Fidelio Trio. His music spans 40+ countries, with highlights including the 2012 London Cultural Olympiad's Ping! and the National Theatre's Humble Boy. Awards include British Composer Awards (2008, 2016) and a PRS Foundation grant for Elsewhereness, premiered in Royal Birmingham Conservatoire’s Bradshaw Concert Hall.
