Paul Cureton

Dr. Paul Cureton is a Senior Research Fellow in Landscape and Infrastructure at Birmingham City University (BCU) and a Senior Lecturer in Design at Lancaster University. His work bridges design, landscape representation, and digital technologies.

• PhD: Landscape Representation, Manchester School of Architecture

His research focuses on interdisciplinary approaches to Future Cities, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), and digital fabrication. He applies these tools to landscape and infrastructure projects, including mapping and urban modelling.

Recent publications highlight his work in landscape representation, digital/analogue techniques, and visual futures analysis. He collaborates across academic disciplines and industries, with a strong emphasis on real-world impact through design innovation.
