Jody Giles

Jody Giles is an Associate Professor in the Department of Counseling and Rehabilitation Education at Southern Illinois University Carbondale. She serves as Program Director and specializes in Clinical Mental Health training and supervision. With a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology from SIU Carbondale (2008) and a Master's in Psychological Counseling from Southeast Missouri State University (1991), she has held full-time counselor education appointments since 2007 at institutions including Murray State University, Lindsey Wilson College, and Montana State University Billings.

Her expertise spans multiple states, with licenses in Kentucky, Indiana, Texas, and Montana.

She has served in leadership roles at regional and state levels in Kentucky and has been invited to present at numerous national conferences. Dr. Giles maintains a clinical practice, offering consultation and supervision in community settings, while also contributing to counselor education and professional development.
