Dr. Joan Haaland Paddock is a Professor of Music and Trumpet Specialist at Linfield University's Vivian Bull Music Center. She serves as a renowned performer, conductor, and educator with over 25 years of experience leading the Linfield Concert Band. Her expertise spans classical trumpet performance, Nordic folk instruments (notably the lur), and music education innovation.
Dr. Paddock holds a Doctorate of Music from Indiana University and is a Fulbright Scholar. Her accolades include an Emmy Award for original composition and a prestigious Bach Trumpet Clinician title.
