Joan Arbery is a Lecturer at Southern Methodist University (SMU), where she has taught for ten years. She holds a BA in English (magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa) from the University of Dallas (2002) and a PhD in Literature (specializing in Irish Studies and French) from the University of Notre Dame (2010).
