Dr. Jin Rui is a Postdoctoral Research Associate at King’s College London’s Department of Geography within the School of Global Affairs, Faculty of Social Science & Public Policy. He holds a PhD in Spatial Planning (2024, Technical University of Dortmund), an M.Sc. in Architecture and Urban Planning (2020, Leibniz University Hannover), and a B.Sc. in Architecture (2018, China Academy of Art). His research focuses on spatial data science, urban AI, and GeoAI applications in smart cities and risk management.
Key research areas include urban visual intelligence, GeoAI for disaster analysis, and quantitative urban planning using big data. He leads projects like the British Academy-funded Sinking Cities initiative and collaborates on digitalization and public health.
