Jim McCallum is a researcher at the University of Western Australia (UWA), affiliated with the School of Agriculture and Environment and the Centre for Water and Spatial Science. He focuses on hydrogeology and environmental tracers, studying groundwater systems and their interactions with surface water and climate.
Education: PhD in hydrogeology (Flinders University, 2014), followed by work as a project scientist at CSIRO Land and Water.
Research interests include groundwater recharge variability, fault zone hydrogeology, and climate change impacts on groundwater. He develops numerical methods for groundwater modeling and studies surface-water-groundwater interactions.
