Jill O'Neill

Jill O'Neill serves as Adjunct Faculty of Music at Winthrop University's College of Visual and Performing Arts since 1996, where she directs the Flute Choir and teaches courses including Music Appreciation, History of Rock-n-Roll, and Sound Design. She holds an M.M. from University of South Carolina and B.M. from West Virginia University.

Her research focuses on flute performance, music pedagogy, and interdisciplinary arts. She founded Palmetto Pipers Flute Club/Flute Choir and music company Festivo Musique.

She has received five Metrolina Theatre Association awards for sound design and composition. She performs professionally with orchestras including Charlotte Symphony and Opera Carolina, and teaches at multiple schools through private instruction.
