Dr. Jill Meyer serves as Professor and Director of Counselor Education and Director of Forensic Rehabilitation in Auburn University's Department of Special Education, Rehabilitation, and Counseling within the College of Education.
Her academic credentials include:
- MS in Rehabilitation Counseling from University of Illinois
- PhD in Counseling Education and Supervision from University of Missouri–St. Louis
Research examines coping mechanisms, identity formation, and psychosocial adaptation among individuals with chronic illness and disability, with emphasis on emerging adulthood and psychological well-being. Her work appears in Rehabilitation Counseling Bulletin, Journal of Counseling Psychology, and Rehabilitation Psychology.
Dr. Meyer directs two federal Rehabilitation Services Administration (RSA) Training grants and teaches core courses including Rehabilitation Counseling Skills, Vocational Assessment, and Medical Aspects of Disability.
