Jessica Tsai is Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at USC's Keck School of Medicine and principal investigator of the Tsai Lab at Children's Hospital Los Angeles. Her research focuses on pediatric neuro-oncology, particularly diffuse midline gliomas and FOXR2-mediated oncogenesis. She earned her MD/PhD from Stanford University, completed training at the Broad Institute, and was named an Allen Institute Next Generation Leader in 2021.
Her laboratory employs CRISPR screening, nanoparticle delivery systems, and computational approaches to identify therapeutic targets. Recent publications examine FOXR2 transcription factor pathways in pediatric brain tumors and AI-derived biomarkers for neuroblastoma. She serves on committees promoting inclusive mentorship and STEM advocacy.
Awards include the Emerging Generation Award from ASCI and research fellowships from Bando Laboratory and Allen Institute. She leads initiatives to support underrepresented trainees in biomedical sciences.
