Jessica Allen

Dr. Jessica Allen is a Senior Lecturer and principal researcher in Chemical Engineering at the University of Newcastle's School of Engineering. She holds a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Newcastle and has extensive experience in renewable energy technologies, carbon capture, and electrochemical systems. Her research focuses on developing sustainable energy solutions, such as solar thermal carbon capture and biomass conversion, to achieve net-zero emissions. Dr. Allen has received notable accolades, including the DECRA Fellowship (2021) and Superstar of STEM (2021), and is a vocal advocate for women in STEM.
