Jerzy Sadowski

Jerzy Sadowski serves as Professor and Vice-Rector for the Branches at the Józef Piłsudski University of Physical Education in Warsaw, where he concurrently heads the Department of Sports Sciences within the Faculty of Physical Education and Health. His extensive administrative tenure includes prior roles as Vice-Dean for IWFiS (1990-1996), Director of the Institute of Physical Education and Sport in Biała Podlaska (1996-2001), Dean of the Faculty of Physical Education (2001-2002), Vice-Rector for Off-Campus Education (2002-2008), Dean of ZWWF (2008-2012), and Vice-Rector for General Affairs (2012-2016).

His academic foundation includes graduation from the Józef Piłsudski University of Physical Education in Warsaw's Biała Podlaska Branch (1981), PhD in Physical Culture Sciences (1986), Postgraduate Studies in Enterprise Management at Warsaw School of Economics (1999), and habilitation degree (2001) for his award-winning thesis on coordination skills in Eastern combat sports.

Professor Sadowski's research pioneers the theoretical and methodological frameworks for sports training technology with specialized focus on motor coordination development and sports technique refinement. His work bridges biomechanics and pedagogy in athletic performance, particularly through combat sports applications where he established standardized training protocols for Taekwondo and Kickboxing. This expertise is crystallized in his co-edited seminal work "Basics of the theory and technology of sports training" that earned the Golden Olympic Laurel.
