Jerry Lockaby

Jerry Lockaby is an Instructor in the Department of Art/Graphic Design at Louisiana State University (LSU), within the College of Art & Design. He holds both a BFA and MFA from LSU School of Art and is a Doctor of Design (DDes) Candidate in Cultural Preservation. Since 2019, he has taught at LSU while leading the school’s social media operations and digital media team.

His professional expertise spans over 20 years in graphic design, marketing, and advertising, with specializations in corporate identity, branding, and online marketing. He develops courses for the Bachelor of Art program, focusing on real-world art practice, and manages digital assets and social media channels for the college.

Lockaby has received awards including the IABC Bronze Quill, PRSA del Oro, and multiple Addy Awards. Bilingual in English and Spanish, he bridges client needs with creative team execution, emphasizing consumer engagement and entrepreneurial strategies.
